Art Pricing

#1 Post by Vee »

Somehow I'm not sure the price for this belt is reasonable...
Though I'm not sure if its a randart or true Art...

Orange items are randarts.

Little OT: my game doesn't shows item pictures on inventory or shop, that column is always empty here. When I used the Windows version via Wine, some betas ago, it showed the pictures.

So we need a way to calculate prices for randarts, or have stores not generate them, 2 Stats +2-3 is much more worth than a single gold coin...

The screenshot was made with the most recent SVN revision on a gentoo linux box. On a side note its much faster and stable since the particle fix/update... So the missing item images (is it just stores, or inventory/wield/use/etc. as well?) might rather be a problem with dependencies, or you might have changed some of the code yourself?

By the way... there's a purse limit to every shop now so it makes no sense to price arts 1000 gold if they can't appear in shops, because you won't ever be able to get more than 35 gold.

I've never run across a randart in T4. Is this some addon you're using ahead of time, or is this possible in the regular beta13?

They are playing an unofficial svn release.

I play my compiled version from SVN too, but I'm using Arch Linux 64 bit here. I never get any images at dialogs: stores, inventory, pick up etc. The rest of the game is normal. Since T4 bundle the dependencies (AFAIK Gentoo devs don't like that, we must think about using system libs later), I don't know what is missing here.

No images means your system does not support (or you disabled) opengl framebuffers.

As for deps, we do not ship with them (unless you mean lua stuff which there is no way in hell I'm going to use system libs for, anyway T2 worked the same way and gentoo was fine with that :) )
