I won't sugarcoat it: I projected a "Late June, Early July" release date-- But many things have happened since that time-- Both in terms of the project and my life. The important bit though-- The part you want to hear: I'm going to push the date back about 2-4 weeks, so you can expect it somewhere in the middle of July, or very close to the start of August.
I came to this decision because finishing it by July would leave it feature-incomplete (there is still so much to do and fix-- I promise you a novel-sized fix list when I release it)-- And last time when I released the first version feature-incomplete, it was a disaster and eventually led to... Well, EXACTLY THIS message!

As not to create a vicious cycle, I'm going to postpone the release of the new "expansion"-- But, in the mean time, as a bit of an apology, I'm going to bite the bullet and release my latest Quality of Life mods on that date instead. I've tested them extensively, and (although there are still a few not-really-dangerous-but-problematic bugs) they work quite well-- But, of course, one thing a developer quickly learns is that the best method of testing... Is simply to let the public discover the bugs themselves, then fix it after the fact.
This said, you can look forward to updates on my earlier Quality of Life mods (#1 and #4), as well as the release of about 3 more new ones, so there will be a total of 5 fresh new mods for your ToME convenience!
- #1 has had various changes, technically speaking. What may concern you is that it has particles for vulnerabilities/invulnerabilities, as well as armor boosts and armor breaks. Many particles have been tightened up so that they "look" better (for example, "burning"), and now operates on a special "priority" system that allows certain effects to overlap other more relevant/important effects.
- #4 has been modified so that you can OPTIONALLY apply the adjusted healing factor (cannot be changed as of reaching level 10), and now the mod tells you how much healing actors ARE NOT getting (due to "reduced healing" effects, such as being Frozen, Curse of Death, etc...), which was what I originally had in mind for this mod (but got distracted by a quote-unquote "glitch" I discovered...)
Apologies if this announcement has disappointed anyone. I care deeply about giving you EXACTLY what I promised-- That is, the biggest and greatest thing I've released yet-- So it's integral that I have you wait just a little bit longer. The expansion is going to be the start of a journey-- That is to say: It's going to set up for what will be a future of several little, "intriguing" mini-releases...
PS: "What ever happened to Quality of Life #2 and #3? Those ones seem to be missing..."
... Well, I suppose I might as well tell you: I scrapped #2 because I realized it was more of a cheat than it was a "quality-of-life". As for #3, I later figured out the idea was highly difficult to implement due to how the engine is designed. These will probably never see the light of day, so put them out of your mind.
Edit: Correction-- I meant Quality of Life #5, not #3. Oof... Even I'm getting these mixed up now...!
(TL;DR: Release delayed by 2-4 weeks)
