New Achievement: God Slayer

In my latest playthrough of Embers of Rage, I decided to see if I could actually kill the pieces of Amakthel at the end. And I could. And I did. All three of them. And nothing happened. I think there should be an achievement for such an insanely monumental task. Anyone else agree?

I agree. On another note though, HOW?! I see Deathknights are involved.

Well, I did it using the Generalist class mod, so basically cheating. Another player claimed to have done with with a Sawbutcher, though, and after doing it myself, I could see how, though it'd take a LOT longer.

The biggest challenge is overcoming that whopping 200K HP regen per turn they have. In my constant onslaught, however, I noticed that the stacking bleeding damage from steamsaws, talents, and such eventually got over 200K HP per turn. That means just the bleeding effect was doing more damage than they could heal. Any other damage effects that stack and get applied passively would help, too.

Definitely a bug about there not being an achievement. No matter how hard you make something, someone will find a way.

The only thing that will get changed is to make it more unkillable most likely. Not at all meant to be killed so definitely won't add an achievement for something intended to be undoable.

I'm definitely with HP here. if they're meant to be unkillable they shouldn't take damage at /all/, like sandworm tunnelers.

Or Aeryn when she's heading for the caves. I definitely wish you could either actually kill her, or she just teleported away. Anyway, yeah, if it's even theoretically possible, regardless of how hard it is, it should be viable for an achievement. I mean, isn't there one for killing the Eidelon? AND one for dying in the Eidelon Plane (i.e. while already dead)?

We don't really need to bloat the game more with impossible-to-get achievements, if anything we need less of them

The easiest way to kill them is with the dagger Mercy. I used a character dual wielding Mercy daggers from the vault, but it would work with just one.

Either the things should be unkillable at all or there should be an achievement.
