It looks like you're using a bunch of addons, which likely have not been tested with the 1.4. Does this happen without addons? I tried making a shalore AB on nightmare adventure (what yours was I believe), with just 2 points in both fire and lightning and on returning to derth was able to remove all 4 points after getting to level 7.FreePaperclips wrote:Crap. Following the directions of removing all class talents at character creation, go to trollmire, add 2 to lightning and 2 to flame, get a few levels, then go to derth.
With no addons, everything was fine.
Adding just Ashes from 1.3.3 and I can reproduce the problem as well (only 3/4 talents removable). Perhaps there is some weird interaction with Ashes, or maybe there is an element of randomness and it doesn't have anything to do with it).

You're absolutely right that I should have tested that first. To see if that was it (and/or narrow down which was the problem) I just ran a test without any addons or dlc (test character below). The problem is still there however and so is the feedback issue. I just cast flame on myself and am suffering from the "Burning" effect but have no icon in the upper right.

I'm running 48x48, Modern, 185% zoom... Tried lowering the zoom to 90, and up to 250, and still showed the icon...

From some quick testing, it looks like the "box" will move the first (beneficial effect) column right up to (but not overlapping or beyond) the edge of the screen. Moving it to to top of the screen simply reorients the columns and moving it to the left will cause the first column to partially (but not fully) overlap the screen.
This is all tested on a 1280x1024 monitor though and may look differently on (at?) different ratios and sizes.

I hope a way for demonologists to regain stamina to make it into 1.4! My suggestion is for Demon Horns to allow stamina leech on follow up hits rather than life. I made a more detailed post in the Ideas forum. I just tried the demonologist class and I love it, but I think the class would be more fun if one didn't have to spend longer fights bumping rather than using active skills (with an appropriate amount of effort and strategy of course).

Thinking about it, this could explain what happened on my trial "cold" Archmages. I learned 2 Fire and 2 Lightning at start to carry me through the starting area. Then I can never unlearn one of the Fire talent points in the end.
From what I see, this happens because I didn't unlearn the Arcane Power talent in the starting screen. Somehow, even if I remove all the points in Fire, then put them in again, that first point is considered has having been taken before Arcane Power.

Were the icons for lightning infusion and dynamic recharge switched to the wrong talents? The second talent icon looks like all the other infusions. The first Icon seems a bit out of place unless all the other infusion tree icons are being redone to that style on the same update.
