Should be a lot of copy-pasting and some notable alterations:

certain textures (blood circles),
environmental effects (charred-scar-in-a-spray-can everywhere),
changing the stats & appearance of the initial necro(who I'm pretty sure already uses Corrupter talents now that I think about it, haha),
adding a gutted post-Dreadfell ambush zone as the 4th area,
and the part that I don't think I can do with ctrl c+v, creating a thematic Zigurite boss. The dialog bit should be easy enough; just reuse the code from the initial necromancer dialog and change the words around or something, but I don't know what the character's stats should be, or how to create a character rather than altering one that exists already in some form.

I've actually figured out a whole starting zone! Not sure how easy it'll be to code, but I like it.

---You start in a largeish circle of crystals(Maybe half the size of the arena of blood?). The Corruptor has used you as a human experiment, turning you into a horrific Blightling. Thinking you dead, he opens the door of the crystal prison and comes in. Turns out you aren't dead, and you kill him(Easily, I'm thinking, to show that while you've become a monster, it hasn't weakened you. Almost want to say oneshot, lol). Making your way through the zone, you fight weak skeletons and maybe a ghoul or two.

It's not until you exit the ruins that you get pulled into an ambush-like instance where you fight the boss: A Zigur Initiate. There's quite a bit of dialogue for this, so not sure how well it'll translate. The Zigur Initiate, horrified at your twisted fate, tries to kill you, believing it to be a mercy. Defeating the Initate(not killing, the Initiate lives.), she(?) expresses shock that you still seek to persist, despite your horrid state. Replying to her, the Initiate realizes that you still have some of yourself left. Conflicted, the Initiate decides to report you dead to Zigur, giving you one of the Cloaks of Deception the guards of the zone had(I figure the entrance to the place would have been guarded by two skeletons disgused as humans, which the Initiate had just taken care of before you come out). She also offers to end your suffering if it becomes too much to bare. Going to her in Zigur, she'll 'kill' you, bringing you down to 1hp, and giving you +1 constitution as your body manages to thwart death.

Or something. Long car rides give me plenty of time to think.

Ooh! I like it, especially the way you've added depth to the encounter with the Zigur initiate, good stuff!

I was originally going to use an existing character of mine for the spot(The super-long plotline I had in mind would have the Initiate follow you to Reknor, go to the east, and join the sun paladins, perhaps joining you in the final fight), but probably best not to. :p

That said, worried the Initiate stuff might be too...cinematic for ToME, but we'll see. :3

what's the penalty? Right now, this race looks REALLY OP. Like if you rolled a reaver or corrupter as this its a won run already. Normally races this powerful, like undead or yeek, have a huge penalty to offset their power. Undead can't use infusions. Yeek have abysmal starting stats. This thing has...30% xp penalty. Which means practically nothing.

I'd say make them forbidden from using infusions, since they're so far corrupted an infusion just dosent work.

The race is basically beings that are made of blight, and Eyal has never been too fond of blight.
Their racials are quite strong, with one of them giving stat bonuses, in the same vein as with the undead races.

If you want ideas for a starting area, I'd use the undead start as a skeleton of sorts (no pun intended):
using what's already there as a base, throw in a corruptor (probably a weakened one or something) to replace the initial necromancer, those sacrificial circle textures from Kryl'Fejan, the crypt full of corrupters, and pepper the area liberally with those environmental elements that look like miniature Charred Scars.
Mm, fair enough. They probably won't have infusions, then. The way I'm seeing it is that they have...infected bodies that infusions don't know how to heal, pretty much. :P

That was discussed earlier in the topic, and after some thought, I agreed(Although, to be fair, I said probably not. Gonna change that stance to 'yeah, no infusions' :P ) they wouldn't be able to use infusions/wilder classes, like undead. I haven't updated the op yet, though.

Might make the con penalty a bit more severe, too, and the cunning penalty smaller. So like...

-3 con
-1 cun

Maybe?

This hasn't been forgotten! Just like, with my other projects, I'm not actually a good enough coder to pull this off. :c
