Fantastic! This addresses a significant percentage of my concerns. And it sets up a great platform to see if anything else at all is needed next. Thanks!

Yes! The player can now be highlighted in any number of ways in the combat log (currently: PlayerName(YOU)). It's just a question of how you want it to show up. I've avoided coloring the player name because colors are typically used for different types of damage and special messages, and I think it wouldn't help it stand out very much.

I encourage you to test out the latest git version of the game (there have been some changes since 1.0.5f) to see it for yourself and make suggestions from there.

Well all my characters are named -«CharName»- to try and highlight the name. It's not a problem for some classes, but if you have a lot of summons and are scrolling through pages of text for what hit you, having a different colour would really help. Or bold text. That would work too.

I have played the new beta and the YOU text does make it better, but seems a bit more awkward than an unique colour. Just an opinion.

A good colour might be the golden tone of the pretty square that marks the player's character.

Love love love the new logs. One quibble:

My thoughtform bowman regenerates health while I'm resting and it shows up as lots of little messages like:

Thought-forged bowman receives 3 healing.
Thought-forged bowman receives 3 healing.
Thought-forged bowman receives 3 healing.
Thought-forged bowman receives 3 healing.
...

Any way to not spam the logs with all that?

Yeah, agree.
Maybe bundle up all the stuff that happens while resting, and print it out at the end? Like:

- You finish resting. You rested for 93 turns.
- While resting, thought-forged bowman received 32 healing total.
- While resting, you received 71 healing total.
- Reason for waking up: too much caffeine.
