Line-of-sight blocking moving monsters

#1 Post by MalReynolds »

Wouldn't it be interesting, I mean annoying, which is thereby interesting, if there were slow moving monsters which were like walls in that they blocked line of sight? A shifting herd of vaguely wall-looking things coming your way would be rather scary...

We used to have wall mimics, in classic tome. And worse, they multiplied the way worms do.

It's been done before, and it'll be back when Zizzo finishes porting T2 to the T4 engine.

The Drolem, yes. Sadly, it's rather pathetic now that LoS only blocks a straight line now. And we still can't get one for ourselves. *sigh*

It would be even more cool if you could ride your Drolem!

Drolemount.

(Halfling Alchemists ought to be allowed to ride on their regular golems, too. Especially if they're named Master Blaster.)
Check out my addons: Nullpack (classes), Null Tweaks (items & talents), and New Gems fork.

Kudos for the excellent reference. I want to go play that game again now.

And drolemount would be impressive. Share damage with it (like with bloated oozes), have it passively attack on turns, similar to the way mindslayers passive attacks work, but treat it/you as one entity, taking up one tile.

Yes, I could get behind that... Or on top of it, as the case may be.

In other words, resurrect the Mount Golem talent. (There's still code bits for it in place.)

Okay, there are issues with a drolem prodigy.

You will have to wait and see.

It'd certainly be something cool for a horror or demon.
