So I decided to throw away a life or two on Atamathon just for fun right before finishing the game, since I had three extra lives at that point. The only trouble is, for whatever stupid reason, the Eidolon won't let me resurrect at a safe place - he insists on putting me right next to Atamathon, from which I have no hope of escaping since it's a one-shot kill.
Is there any way to get Eidolon to send me someplace that actually makes sense? Failing that, is there some way to reset the Golem Graveyard to the state it was in before I went in?
As a last resort, if I have to "cheat", is there any way to do it without disabling my character's achievements etc.? I'd hate to have a game that's gone on this long ruined because of something so stupid.
Edit: Finally managed to "legitimately" escape after exhausting all remaining lives and then resorting to restoring my backup save folder about 5-6 times.

Rod of recall doesn't function in the Golem Graveyard, so the Eidolon can't send you elsewhere (at least I think that's how it works).

Re: Need help escaping Atamathon
Perhaps this needs a message when you enter? Something along the lines of 'you feel a force disrupting your rod of recall' or something. Some sort of warning might serve well to warn a few players of this, since it's not exactly clear you won't be able to easily escape the fight. Unless the whole point is to say GOTCHA! and kill the player...

You are already warned about Atamathon. If you don't heed these warnings and kill yourself by activating it, it's your own damn fault.Crim, The Red Thunder wrote:Perhaps this needs a message when you enter? I don't see why escaping via rod/Eidolon isn't an option. It's pretty easy, if you are prepared and have the right talents, to just walk out.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).
Re: Need help escaping Atamathon
I presume to prevent dialing down the rod to 2 turns and activating Atamathon. If you're activating it, best be ready to live with the consequences. Even if it is being prepared to run away.bricks wrote:I don't see why escaping via rod/Eidolon isn't an option. It's pretty easy, if you are prepared and have the right talents, to just walk out.
