Sword/board or dual-wield with dagger or mindstar, providing you can get the stats necessary onto the golem and... well, want to. I think next beta one of the prodigies will let you get corrupted strength onto the golem, for dual one-handers.

Used to be able to wear bows/slings, too, but couldn't use the shoot talent even if the golem got the talent. Think that was fixed so the golem just can't get shoot, nowadays.

Do donator tiles change with equipment in any way?

(so if I swap weapons from a sword to a mace will the custom character tile reflect that?)

Thanks.

Using the no_adventurer addon for .43 has recently been giving me a "bad addon" error and preventing online stuff, even while I am logged in. Is this some kind of networking problem or do I need to slap the addon somehow?

I did upload a new version of the addon recently. The previous version is still on the site, though, which I had thought would be enough for it to still be a "good" addon; apparently it isn't. We Apologize for the Inconvenience.(TM)

Is there a way to prevent my summoned skeleton mages to ignore lines of sight and so stop them from shooting their death ray through me at any possible occasion ?
While at low level, the damage is managable, once the summons start to be of stronger levels, it hurts a very lot.
The worst is when this happen in a corridor and you have 2 or 3 skeleton mages minions following you, then an enemy appear in the other side.

Basically, no. The lesser undead are intended to be stupid, more or less.

You can toggle your aura off and let the magi die instead of having them follow you along, or manually attack them (via the attack talent, if you don't have anything else that can damage them) until they die if you want to keep other minions alive.

Thank you, i didn't thought about turning the aura off to let them die, though it's a hard decision as in the same time the skeleton mages are -extremely- good at what they do (especially when they're at high level) and you really want to have them with you in some situation.

But in a corridor, they're nearly yasd machines.

It's a pity that at high level they're as much lethally dangerous to you as they are to the enemy.

Hi all,

First, thank you for gifting us with this little gem of a game. A good looking, functional UI does matter to me to enjoy rogues-like, ToME seems on the right track to join Elona, Dungeon Crawl Soup and Liberal Crime Squad among my favorites.

So here comes my dumb question : why does my talent window not seem to show up when I press "m" ?

If I hover with my mouse cursor over a talent in the bottom bar, I get a nice, detailed popup, which says "press 'm' to setup". If I do that, nothing happens.

Nevermind, I just opened the "Keybindings menu", reassigned the "Actions/Use talents" hotkey from "m" to "M", and it now works. Weird. My game version is "t-engine4-windows-1.0.0beta40", which I downloaded through TIGGIT. My current gaming setup is stil on WinXP/SP3, with an AZERTY keyboard, if that matters.

I will still post this, in case it helps some other players.

Once again, thank you very much for the game, I foresee great things in the near future playing with it, and I will make sure to vote for it as requested.

A very happy X-mas to all.

Beta 40 is 6 releases behind the current version. (Not that any of them are bug-free, but still.)

You can download Release Candidate 3 (a.k.a. 0.9.46) from http://te4.org/

Well, that would be a bug, so you should report it.

Which thing is in disagreement? Someone might know more, if you tell us which stats are being displayed wrong.

Well my accuracy is displayed as 40 when I mouse over & 37 on the character sheet. My mindpower & spellpower match at the moment but were different earlier on. Didn't bother reporting it because I have a vague memory of seeing it mentioned a few times in the forum, thought it was a known bug.

Just found another, my armour is 37 on the character sheet & 36 when I mouse over my character.

Does shadow veil make you invisible/stealthed? (I ask cause the description says it "veils you in shadows")

Also, do most creatures (esp bosses) tend to have more see stealth or see invis? And how does that work exactly? I mean, if they see you, is that it or can you disappear again (in other words, do they have to pass a see stealth/invis check every turn to keep seeing you)

Oh ya and one last question ;)... does the damage penalty from being invis apply to ALL your damage or only your regular bump attack damage (would it reduce damage from flurry for example)

ToME is very much a "what you see is what you get" deal. If the description of the talent doesn't say you become invisible or stealthed, you don't become invisible or stealthed.

It applies to all damage.

I don't know, but if you right click on a creature & select inspect creature the numbers are there. Stealth confuses me, I used to think it wasn't working because it kept saying "x sees you". Then I tested it with a Shalore rogue. I put stealth on & stood around doing nothing near a crystal & watched it shoot fire balls randomly around the screen.
