Re: [b34] new LOS does not always perform properly
Highlighting blocking tiles definitely helps when some of the graphics aren't clear on what's passable and what's not...
Re: [b34] new LOS does not always perform properly
So is your suggestion to do something like this? What about the first example in the thread? With a semi-smart line, it gets blocked normally. Is this how you think it should look? or would it be better to not have the trailing red highlight? This isn't my strong suite, so I really do appreciate the feedback and hope to receive moreGrey wrote:With the "smart line" idea, maybe just stop the line entirely after it meets the obstacle? Then you won't see any weird looking end to the line.

I think the red line is important. It makes it clearer what's going on, at least to me.

Okay, I'll change two things to make targeting more intuitive:
(1) semi-smart targeting if possible: and (2) highlight any tile that blocks the path:

Yes, if the projectile/path passes through a tile, it should be fully highlighted. It's not the prettiest line, but it's the most honest.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

Had this situation occur just now, also in B34. Enemy just flat out ignored me in this layout.
