And I'm saying categorically that I did NOT mix them up! :P
YOu could go and say that Loremaster Greynot is supposed to have made that mistake, but as he is a scholar, I think that is not the best characterisation. Or, you could just go and change it already. :roll:
Have you seen how Linaniil writes? And she's the most powerful mage in the world. I tell ya, these Maj'Eyalians ain't so good on schoolin' ;)

I am afraid I ain't good enough at English to understand all the subtle differences grey & greycat are arguing about :/ :)

But I wanna thank both for their remarkable efforts at making T4 both readable and poetic!
Now, let's all hug ? :)

b28/SVN, in \tome\class\Actor.lua (line 1012):

Code: Select all

			game.logSeen(self, "%s disruption shield collapses and then explodes in a powerful manastorm!", self.name:capitalize())
Should read:

Code: Select all

			game.logSeen(self, "%s's disruption shield collapses and then explodes in a powerful manastorm!", self.name:capitalize())
Or however one postpends 's to a string there.

Really minor typo in \data\zones\orc-breeding-pit\npcs.lua, line 144:

Code: Select all

		game.log("#PURPLE#As the orc greatmother falls you realize you have dealt a crippling blow to the orcs.")
The sentence uses the American English spelling of realise. If British English is supposed to be the official language of the game, this is a typo. If not, ignore this.

If you're going to work on British vs. American English spellings, start with armour vs. armor. It's inconsistent, and it's incredibly widespread in the game for obvious reasons.

I see what you mean. Heh, didn't realise it was that bad. Now granted, most of them are in functions and variables and other things the player isn't going to see, but there's probably 50 or so of them.

Perhaps we should decide which english to use? I vote British myself, it's got more flair to me and sounds less washing machine/garbage disposal [note, I'm american...].

The display code should always say armour, the code always armor. Because.

B28/SVN3839 \data\general\objects\brotherhood-artifacts.lua typos: (using linenumbers from SVN)
line 71:

Code: Select all

-	display = "!", color=colors.GREEN,
+	display = "!", color=colors.RED,
line 244:

Code: Select all

-	desc = [[A vial of murky wuite fluid.]],
+	desc = [[A vial of murky white fluid.]],
The end rewards except for the potion are all missing display fields, so not sure what happens when you're using ASCII tiles and you drop one (presumably in your storage room).
Furthermore, a few of the display colours are a bit off IMO, but this is somewhat subjective:
line 89:

Code: Select all

	display = "!", color=colors.BLUE,
The potion is described as cyan (green 128 or 255 + blue 128 or 255), so maybe AQUAMARINE would fit the colour field there.

line 130:

Code: Select all

	display = "!", color=colors.PURPLE,
The potion is described as maroon (red 128), so maybe DARK_RED or FIREBRICK?

This one is really, really nitpicky, line 32:

Code: Select all

	display = "!", color=colors.VIOLET,
The potion is described as pink, and there is a PINK colour defined... but I grew up playing MUDs, which only had 16-colour schemas to work with, so magenta was used interchangeably with pink.

Edit: Sorry for not spotting this before b29 came out, dg :(

Tooltip on Unnatural Body says "Unnatrual Body Regeneration"... and then "maximun".

Minor: Helm of the Dwarven Emporor

It should be "Emperor".

Weirdling Beast I encountered in Yiilkgur, the Sher'Tul Fortress.

Tool-tip description says the beast has "tentacles-like appendages". Should either be "tentacle-like appendages" or "tentacles-like appendage".
