(new) Nekarcos's Quality of Life 01: Effect Display

This is the NEW release of "Quality of Life #01: Effect Display"!
The download link is right...
HERE!
This add-on places "particle effects" on various different types of status effects in the game, creating visibility where it is normally missing. This version, however, is
BRAND NEW and possesses
SEVERAL new features, such as:
- Particles for "things that make you take LESS damage" and "things that make oyu take MORE damage"
- Particles for "Things that increase your Armor/Hardiness" and "things that decrease your Armor/Hardiness"
- The "intensity" of various "ouch" particles will be based on how POWERFUL the effect is. A 1 damage fire effect will appear wimpy compared to a 100 damage effect.
- Each "type" of particle can now be toggled on or off. This is to prevent overlapping in some cases or just plain removing a particle you find annoying.
- Particles now align to certain body locations! Feet will be frozen, heads will be confused, etc...
* Unfortunately, this looks odd when tiles become flipped. As usual, working on a solution!
- SEVERAL bug fixes, as well as the removal of certain "pointless" particle effects (for example, "Corrosive Worm" doesn't need a particle effect!)
- Etc, etc, etc...
Questions, problems, complaints, bug reports, anything at all? Ask away!

So, do I understand correctly that this is not intended to be a drop-in replacement for the previous version of this addon? As many characters as I've got going at once, I may have to wait for 1.6.0 to try this new version…

This is a completely new add-on with the updated features. It was done this way to allow players to finish runs with the old add-on WITHOUT any kind of risk to save files whatsoever. The downside to this method, however, is that it becomes the player's responsibility to become aware of the new version, to disuse the old one, and to begin using the new one (which defeats the whole point of auto-updating, right?)
Fortunately, this is the ONLY downside, really-- And it means everyone can be happy-- As soon as everyone realizes there's a new add-on now...

[downloads] Ah, I see: separate addon with a different short_name, so no possibility of collision. Fair enough. We Apologize for the Confusion.™

Just got rid of the old version of the add-on, downloaded the new on steam and started a char.
Got this 5minutes in :
error = "Lua Error: /data/gfx/particles/bind.lua:84: attempt to concatenate global 'img' (a nil value)\

seen = true
reported = false
I was just shooting a normal skeleton and it died the turn the error popped.
Edit : 5 minutes later, I can do it consistently by killing a creature with pin down. Only one error at a time now, when the first one was 5-6 windows at the same time.

@Cathbald
Can you replicate the error after turning every other add-on off? By the looks of this error message, I suspect the "bind" graphic is being overloaded by something...

In other news, I'm stupid.
I removed the original addon through steam but it is not enough and I had the old and new at the same time.
Removed it (for real this time) and no more issues.
Thanks for the mod by the way!

Be mindful that, if you're subscribed on Steam, it will always copy a "RAR" file into your add-on folder-- So make sure you delete the "folder" version of the add-on if you're going to remain subscribed.
PS: Remain subscribed. Easier updates; makes me look better.
