I was a dwarf wilder, exploring the Trollmire and Ruins of Kor'Pul after finishing Reknor and the Deep Bellow, and on the way I encountered two arcane escorts (a Sun Paladin in Trollmire and a Seer in Kor'pul). Neither gave me the option to betray them.
I thought that you didn't need antimagic to betray escorts in this version?

You don't have to be antimagic, but you can't know an arcane spell or a rune.

Wyrmic. I took no arcane spells and I did not have any runes on me.
Zigur still allowed me access after all of this and let me try out for Antimagic, if that helps.

Re: [RC1] Can't betray?
Did you read the sign at the entrance to Zigur? Learning that lore gives you the ability to betray escorts on all characters (if you've already learned the lore in a previous version, getting it from the fortress library should work, too).
Re: [RC1] Can't betray?
Ah. So I need to visit Zigur to get that lore, then I can betray?
Thanks much, that clears it up.
