I don't think I've yet announced my (plans) for a module and given 1st of August is fast approaching I figured I had better post this :)

The module is presently titled 'hulk'. You take on the role of a salvage operative of O.R.E, the Outer Rim Exploitation Corporation. Your task is to board a drifting hulk, extract the valuable materials and return to base. Thanks to a recent promotion you have been assigned your first solo-run hulk. Your hulk has been scanned and deemed to be in good condition, you have been dropped off and are expected to make your own way back using whatever means available.

It's still not clear, can I submit more than one game for this? Otherwise I'm not sure whether to put forward Rogue Rage or Mosaic. I'll definitely put forward one of the two.

Well the point is to get new cool games, so if you can manage to make 2 cool games instead of one sure :)

Well I'd say past finished game are out, but you're still working on mosaic & roguerage so it's ok.
Damn you prolific coder ;)

Anyway if you want some advise, I suggest roguerage, mostly because I wish to play it ;)

Rogue Rage is my priority, but since I'm polishing up Mosaic more anyway then I may as well include it.

Well, anyway, consider both submitted :)

I'll go ahead and announce my entry.

Qi Dao Zei is an Oriental-themed fantasy roguelike. Fight creatures from folklore and legend and absorb their qi to gain new abilities while fleeing the sinister minions of the Empire and its warlocks.

You are a qi dao zei - a "qi rogue" - born with the ability to absorb others' life energy. Your kind is feared and persecuted by the Empire, so for years you've hidden your gifts and tried to live a normal life among the citizenry. Now you've been discovered and must fight your way through caverns and wilderness to escape to safety, knowing that the magics and minions of the Empire are quickly closing in...

Its 1st not sure if this is still open today , if it is here is my announcment:

The Town (of crime , weirdos and ducks)

Rise from rags to riches by means of crime.

Game is basically roguelike meets King of dragon pass.

You get one action each month and can spend it to do various things, rob a bank, reqruit more people to your gang, upgrade your hideout, spring Fat Joe out of the joint, raise chickens, eat sushi with aliens, etc. Normal crime boss things.

Game is bit ambitious and pretty early stages, unlikely that i'll actually get it finished this year but we'll see.

I didn't announce mine ("Den of Thieves") before August 1st, but if you want to add me I'm working on it. Currently picked up a Lua programming book and working through some examples.

I learned all I know in Lua by just mucking around in the T-Engine :) It's a pretty easy language really, and with the T-Engine there's very little need for advanced programming tools. In game design in general I'd say you rarely need to know beyond the basics.
