In the meantime harder difficulties may be unplayable which is why SageAcrin suggested making an addon.
This is a forum for ideas about the game. People point out things they have problems with, discuss the shape of those problems and how they might be fixed. Obviously someone has to code it, but whoever that is might find a clarifying explanation or a particular idea in one of those discussions, or decide to code it in the first place in response to people's theories and complaints.
Sure, but SageAcrin was talking about this specific issue and how it's gone beyond the point of discussion. Currently Shibari is doing a great job working on balancing higher difficulty levels. Some of this is about class balance. A lot of it's not. Unfortunately the type of work Shibari is doing kinda has to be done one step at a time (see my first point). We can't just gut it, code it, and hope it's balanced.
"Shut up if you don't have an offering to gesture your good will with, P.S. Work good, talk bad" is ten times as useless as a bunch of hot air and two or three good ideas. If discussions just confuse you unless they're really high quality, don't read them.
You'll find the community is a lot more receptive without comments like this.

I don't really mind criticism of my opinion.

I'm just feeling a need to point out that, well, this is a case of one core dev who has a day job and who is very receptive to code additions from those who wish to improve the game.

This is literally a case of "If you want it done fast, do it yourself". I'm not trying to say "This is pointless" in a pejorative way, I'm trying to say "I've been on these forums for a couple years now. Doing it yourself is the only reliable way to see it this year, especially if it's extremely high effort to code, because you really can't blame DarkGod for wanting to make interesting new code rather than retool the game yet again for a difficulty he doesn't even play(to my knowledge).".

If you disagree with that, no problem. I'm trying to be informative, but obviously this could be taken for opinion and not fact. (And I've no doubt that my opinion is not perfectly accurate, don't get me wrong. I'm just going off experience.)

And yeah, I'd say Shibari is doing a good job of gradual balance tweaks for higher difficulties, and I just tossed my own retool for an underpowered class into the code pile, which hopefully DarkGod will like. It's not that it hasn't been happening, it'll just take time.
