Wyrmics are my favorite. My favorite character ever was a sword-and-board Wyrmic with heavy investment in Fugus who stacked +healmod to a ridiculous degree (I believe I was regenerating over 300 hp/turn with my nigh-instant infusions at the endgame). The Neverdead was such a harrowing experience, but I won in the end.

But to me the funniest part of ToME is writing addons (i.e, mostly new classes), and my favourite class at the moment is one of my own - namely, the Anarchist, a stealthy bomb-thrower with remote demolition and subversion skills. Even though I always end up blowing myself up with it, since the class uses a new resource (Fanaticism) that causes lots of backfires when it gets too high
Post the addon! Post it right now! :D

Bit of a tangent, but Zeal sounds like a much better resource name than fanaticism. :D

I think my favorite class is going to be maurader, but I like berzerker right now. Really I just love the steamroller protege and anyone who can make it work.

I'll gladly do... once it more or less works. At the moment most of the subversion talents are too buggy or just don't work, the backfire effects need some serious tweaking as well, and it's still way too easy to kill yourself with your own bombs when in stealth mode (since I don't want full immunity to friendly fire like Alchemists eventually get.) Oh, and my escort quests' success rate is annoying close to 0%

I agree, changed. Coincidence, the Anarchist actually inherited Fanaticism from a previous project, the Zealot.

I enjoy playing the classes I dont quite get yet.

That endless Dark Souls esque sense of discovery and growing mastery with the systems, the mechanics, the gear, the talent pools, so many wasted points and headstones, still not one win yet, I use cat/class unlockers and roll five shields deep or hyper focused super speed glass cannons or generalists with every immunity or utility casters with shoves and locks and clones and on and on and on.

I just wish the wonderfully envisioned mods Housepet puts out inspired more modders to generate classes - And that they were bugproof. I hate infinite error crashes.

I try to make them bug proof :/
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

Favorite classes for me are Wyrmic, Bulwark, Shadowblade, Sun Paladin, Cursed, Anorithil, Doomed (not necessarily in that order).

The only one I've won with was a Shadowblade, but I came pretty close with a Wyrmic (lost because I tried to unlock Solipsist without understanding how the damned dungeon works -- level 45 Wyrmic, GONE, due to obscure game mechanics and instadeath in a dream where you're not supposed to be able to die for real if you do it "the right way", but of course nothing tells you what the right way is). I also lost in the final battle with a very ancient version of Cursed, back when they were much, much stronger than they are now.

I guess my favorite at the moment is Doomed, although it's annoying that hate and autoexplore don't really play nice. Otherwise I love the flavour and playstyle. Archmage is always alluring because there are so many things to try out. Paradox Mage because I love being a nasty bastard, but Precognition is so fiddly to use and yet so powerful.

For normal mode, I like archers, slingers in particular. But these just die in nightmore mode. So in nightmare I've been trying to win with a solipsist, and enjoying it a lot. and l've killed a LOT of solipsists trying. I'm trying in particular to get one running with Discharge tree.

Speaking of Neverdead (and sorry for the necro, but it is a bit appropriate, hah!), I am playing a reaver with great blight (and pretty decent physical damage as a backup). The Archlich was at 100% blight resistance, so I figured it was going to be a challenge. But with vimsense, epidemic and curse of vulnerability, I figured I could get her down to 50% or so.

Unfortunately, 100% was the shown value. She was actually at like 140% or so. So all of the above techniques got her just down to 90%.

First point: don't count on 100% really being 100%. Second: inspection should really show 140%, or whatever it really is; people will understand that the enemy isn't *gaining* from damage, but will know that resistance decreases (and penetration?) aren't going to be as effective.

Third: I beat her. Barely.
