Had this ridiculous ring show up at level 30. Naturally it couldn't have dropped when I was still collection +lighting res gear, or on one of my always-die-young lightning archmagi.

Seriously, how does a tier 2 item, even a randart, end up with that much of any stat?
[edit] This was on Normal Adventurer, not one of your "I loathe myself" insane or madness runs.

Wow, nice lightning resist. I would hang onto that in case you fight a lightning boss.

Heres a screenshot of my first experience in the Maze.

Had a lovely welcoming party waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs as I went down to floor two.

Desperate times called for desperate measure. Teleportation rune to the rescue. It kindly teleported me next to the Minotaur of the maze! I summoned all my minions and even tried out the tree summon and it did a great job at freezing and damaging me. Somehow managed to come out ontop and even went back to the stairs and finished of Xuritera and her band of assasins

Helix sadly died 20 mins ago against the master - encased in a block of ice.

He put up a pretty good fight though and he did well to get past the first room of floor 9 considering it was an almost inescapable deathtrap:

No wonder this chick was so desperate to be escorted.
