Grellon 6 the Dwarf Cursed (normal difficulty)

Grellon 6 the Dwarf Cursed has defeated the Master of Dreadfell (and unlocked Skeletons), and is now preparing to Hunt some Orc. He has been heavily favoring STR and WIL with some points going to CON. With the Gloom tree maxed almost nothing can get near him without being zonked out and small vermin regularly die just to the darkness bolts from Torment. Even Dreads are debuffed enough to go down in a few melee rounds (catch them in a wall and they fall pretty easily, and regular melee hits don't invoke the Burning Hex). With the high WIL stat the antimagic skills will be a priority for generic points.

Suggestions, if you'll have them.
- Relentless is excellent, and you should max it.
- Preternatural senses may be worth maxxing as well.
- On the antimagic side, you pretty much either want to invest in Aura Of Silence and Mana Clash or Antimagic Shield. You'll be hurting for equilibrium if you try to do both. Resolve is good regardless. If you intend to use runes, I'd suggest going Silence/clash, as the constant dropping of Antimagic Shield every time you activate one gets *annoying*.

Grellon breezed through the mines and activated the portal. The elf lady disappeared (killed?) before I could hit Krogar because I didn't use Blindside. So now I'm on the world map and I don't know what to do next, other than getting ambushed by orc gangs. How do I get to a town? Or do I?

The quest log says "go to the southeast and talk to Aeryn the Sun Paladin" but I can't find him. All I find are Sun Paladin patrols and orc ambushers. Did I screw up somehow?

The elf lady would have pointed you to the mountains in the east (a bit south of east).

Thanks, yes, there it is. I completely overlooked the one (slightly) different tile in those mountains (d'oh!).

It's easier to see on the minimap. It's the purple-ish dot in the middle of all the non-purple-ish stuff.

Oops, Grellon 6 is dead. Killed by a big red U and resurrect failed to save him because he came back with negative hitpoints in a pile of "brittle jellies" and teleported into trouble.

Do you have the stdout log from when you resurrected with negative HP? This bug has been appearing in several places and although the developers think it is ironed out you may be seeing another issue.
