Would anybody please tell me why this char's resists are so bad? He would otherwise seem pretty good so far. Also, what does the (70%) mean next to some of them?

Thanks.

Re: Bad resists
The numbers in parentheses are the cap or maximum allowed resistance in that category. You have some negative fire resistance coming from your shield, but I don't see where all -34% is coming from after a quick look.

Re: Bad resists
Unnatural Body starts off as a kind of curse causing you to have negative Resist All. It varies with your level of hate but improves if you put skill points into it. You have 1 point in the talent and no hate. That's where -14% resist all comes from. It looks like all of your other resists are displaying that -14% too. So Wrathroot gives you -20% fire and add -14% resist all for a total of -34% resist fire.
I guess its convenient to see the actual values in addition to resist all, but it is confusing.

Re: Bad resists
Ah, I didn't notice the class was Cursed thanks benli.

Re: Bad resists
Thanks. I'll keep an eye on the hate a little more.
Re: Bad resists
You really want to pump Unnatural Body. It becomes a strong passive Resist All talent when you've got points in it and have some Hate built up. I know, you're absolutely strapped for Generic talent points, because you want to spend twice as many of them as you have, especially after picking up antimagic... but you really do need some here.
Re: Bad resists
Lost this character to my friend, Urkis, the High Tempest and it was quick. Thanks to 'dazed' I went from 600 hp to under 100 between turns and then failed a teleport. Jesus, Died 1 times (now dead).

Shame, I would have really liked to equip that armor: Aeriragas (12 def, 16 armor) with the 12 to physical and spell saves.
The good news is that Urkis, the High Tempest killed Jesus! Anti-semites may finally rest easy.

Re: Bad resists
"Stun Resistance 15%"
That is what killed you. I would not go anywhere near Urkis without having Relentless maxed, and then the extra little bit required to hit 100% stun resistance (either a saved Anorithil escortee, or a quartz ring, or other random gear).
You had good lightning resistance, but that's simply not enough.

Re: Bad resists
At this point, lacking those last few points to 100% is not necessarily lethal - but I definitely would have gone with maxxing relentless before Urkis.
