rod of recall doesnt recharge 17beta

So after finishing antimagic quest i went accidently into forgotten tunnels ( i forgot its broken in 17b ) and i ve tried to save myself with rod of recall. Unfortunetely it didnt work out too well. I got message "rod shines and do nothing" or something like that and it even stoped recharging... So basicaly i lost my 13 lvl fighter
Is there any chance that fix will appear soon?

I thought it could be diffrent bug- that one was in 16B
