Disengage - v17
When I hit disengage, the direction vector pops up, but when I click on the location, nothing happens. No stamina is taken off, the delay counter isn't started, and I definitely don't move anywhere.
Re: Disengage - v17
You do target a creature, right ?
You can only disengage from an actual npc
You can only disengage from an actual npc
[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

Re: Disengage - v17
Oops - I thought it worked like phase door, so that's how I was trying to use it.
Ok - I stand corrected - disengage works fine as long as the user isn't an idiot...

Re: Disengage - v17
I never was able to make Disengage work...
until I found that you need free space behind you for it to work...

Re: Disengage - v17
I have some issues with the mechanism of Disengage.
Not sure about the description right now, but as far as I remember is something like "you disengage from your target X tiles". Well, not sure what kind of 'movement' it is, but I tend to think that you propel yourself using the body of your opponent, like getting a hold of it and then push back using your legs and stuff, so in that case I don't really see much difference for doing it with the use of a wall, considering it just makes use of an object in front of you.
BUT. If the skill makes use of your opponents strength to propel yourself away, which would be more interesting flavor-wise, some kind of martial arts technique, in that case the target should spend its turn attacking. At the moment, when you disengage, the target will usually use the round to move in your direction, effectively reducing your disengage strength by 1 square.
Hmm, dunno, maybe I'm just rambling.
