Hairy Orc Patrols

#1 Post by Hachem_Muche »

The random patrols of orcs in the east are probably too tough. I've cleared 2 of the prides on my sun paladin with ease, yet I'm usually fighting for my life when I run into one of the scouting parties. Starting the fight with 2 blood mages, a corruptor, and a couple of necromancers in line of sight is not healthy.

I'd suggest either reducing the numbers of orcs in these patrols, or increasing the size of the battlefield and making the monsters spawn out of range of the player so there is at least a turn or two to prepare.

Yep, the difficulty is on the patrols is quite steep at the moment... Maybe stopping corruptors and blood mages from showing up in these would be a step in the right direction.

Hey - I've seen an orcish blood mage show up in the second level of the maze at character level 9ish (or rather, didn't see him. I was fighting something else, there was a fireball graphic, and I was dead. I was informed by the log that it had been a blood mage). If you're going to take them out of the wandering orc spawns, perhaps you ought to take them out of the western lands too.
