No negative energy cost for Hymn?

I gained access to the Divine/Hymns talent tree with my Arcane Blade, from an escort quest.
I opened the tree when I got my 1st category point at character level 10, and put a generic talent point in Hymn of Shadows.

However, I do not get a bar with either negative, or positive energy. Activating the Hymn works fine and does not seem to cost anything.
Is this normal?

This is intentional.

Chants and Hymns now have a tag that prevents them from giving you a negative or a positive pool.

It's basically just to prevent UI clutter.

The Hymns and Chants have a sustained cost, which means they reduce the total amount of a resource but don't actually remove any of that resource.
