If an item is oddly named/yellow when identified, it is an ARTIFACT. You CANNOT pick up, sell, use, wear, or carry any of these items, except for the following:
Rod of Recall - You may use it once (1 time) to leave the Tempest Keep, but you MUST drop it as soon as you are able.
Staff of Absorbtion - You MUST pick up this item and only carry it [ NO WIELDING ] until the event.
The 4 (four) Orc Pride Orbs - You MUST pick these up and only carry them [ NO WIELDING ] until you are able to use them for the appropriate quest.
The Scrolls - The artifact scrolls are all tied to quests, so you MUST/may* pick them up and complete the associated quests.
If there are any other artifacts of this nature that I did not list, then use these artifacts as your template. If it MUST be picked up/used to complete the quest, then you may do so in the capacity to complete the quest.

FAQ:
Q: Use Angmar's Fall to get into Angolwen?
A: No, it's an artifact. There are alternate means.
Q: So just to clarify....we get to do the sandworm lair and not eat the heart?
A: Yes, this is correct. The heart is an artifact, so you get to do the dungeon, but not eat the heart.
Q: Does no artifacts also mean no Ring of Mandos, Blood of Life, Ever Refilling Potion of Healing/Mana as well?
A: YES
Q: What about Long Scrolls and Giant Potions, along with their proofing?
A: They are green, and fine unless you are attempting the 'No Ego Item' extreme difficulty optional challenge.
Regarding the 'No Ego Item' extreme difficulty optional challenge:
Items of no worth are: Rings, Amulets, Belts, Wands
These items are worthless to you outside of getting to Angolwen if choosing the additional challenge of not using ego items as well - because without being ego flagged [ GREEN colored ] they have no effect in game.
If your character is generated with an ego item, you may either drop it turn 1, or rebirth the character NOT using quickbirth.

How points are awarded:
Points are awarded for the progression you make through the game. The only real way to show this is through the quest log and character level. So here's the break down:
1 point for each character level
2 points for each dungeon quest
1.5 points for each non-random side/optional quest (Storming Bree/Apprentice Mage ect)
There are no (0) points for escort quests as these are randomly generated
*BONUS* For each level you are BELOW 50 when/if you win the game, you gain 2 additional points
*So, with this revision and greater explanation to the rules, you no longer have to do each quest, but you receive a higher score with the more quests you do.
I will be adding this post to the original post for ease of completion.
