Re: Dumb questions thread
Alright, after losing yet another very promising character to someone that is invisible when I have a supposedly good see invisible rate up, I really really am confused now.
How is invisibility vs see invisibility determined?
How is stealth factored in vs detection?
What is telepathy power actually checking?
How does spell power effect spells that do not do damage?
Ect. for all the talents that run off of a 'power' number.

Re: Dumb questions thread
Both use (nearly) the same method as attack vs. defense, meaning that the detection chance is 50% if both values are the same, but if the difference is big enough, you end with a 0% or 100% detection chance.Final Master wrote:How is invisibility vs see invisibility determined? Stealth is measured against a number based on level and cunning.

Re: Dumb questions thread
To prevent more 'noob question' type threads, or very direct title question threads (sorry for my share), can we maybe sticky this one as well? It's got a load of information that is still relevant and is a good place to ask your questions.

Re: Dumb questions thread
How can my non-rogue character use a second weapon in the offhand? Would that require yet another talent?

Re: Dumb questions thread
any character can wield a one handed weapon in the main hand and a dagger in the offhand. no extra talents needed, just wear the dagger with the offhand empty and the main weapon slot full.

Oh. That means I can't have a long sword in each hand? What a bummer!Shoob wrote:any character can wield a one handed weapon in the main hand and a dagger in the offhand. no extra talents needed, just wear the dagger with the offhand empty and the main weapon slot full.
Re: Dumb questions thread
There is a talent that lets you use two longswords but it's only available to one class currently (and the class isn't unlocked at start).
Re: Dumb questions thread
So - I know about classes that are designed to go dual dagger. I know about one class that's designed to dual-wield non-daggers. Is anyone designed to actually go florentine - where the dagger in the offhand is better than a shield or a two-hander, but you don't want a dagger in your primary hand?

I just got "The Beast Within" quest, but I couldn't find the small village. Any ideas?

Re: Dumb questions thread
Actually I feel the Arcane Blade class performs better with 2 weapons once you get your enhancements stacked, but you usually end up with 2 daggers anyway due to higher dexterity and saving generic points for dagger mastery. (But I think this isn't intended... the class just has design flaws as I see it)Sirrocco wrote:So - I know about classes that are designed to go dual dagger. Re: Dumb questions thread
I thought you can only use the Arcane Blade stunning blow with a two-handed weapon?
