Using an item while frozen...

I died suddenly, and I couldn't tell why. Looking at the log, it seemed like the monsters around each took multiple turns after I used a potion... Then I look earlier in the log and saw I was frozen by a previous attack... before I had the chance to use the item. Was it supposed to be a last chance to teleport, or what?

My guess is that you hadn't been frozen when you entered the command, but the act of using the potion took more energy than the freeze cast took the monster, so your action still happened, but after being frozen. I guess death is the only status that formally cancels an action? Pity it wasn't a free action potion.
