Quick question on this "Help with Master & beyond" thread...
I killed all four Prides, with moderate difficulty... (I had to savescum once, since I dipped my head into a pride immediately after showing up in the East, before I knew what was what, was surrounded by about 40 monsters, got some conditions such that I couldn't go up the stairs, and was toast within four or five turns.)
It says that Aeryn would be glad to hear the news. But I go to him, and he only says, "hey, I'd be glad to tell you about the history of Sunwall again! I love telling that story!"
I have *three* Orbs--it appears that one of the Pride leaders didn't drop an Orb, or I didn't see it. Is that the problem? Do I need four Orbs? If I go to the bottom of each Pride area to check, will the Orb in question still be there?

There should be 4 Orbs, but one (Grush'nak afaik) was forgotten to implement. The newest version to download has it fixed but I fear it's too late for your char...

Anyway, the thing with the Quest applies to my char too. It says I should talk to Aeryn but Aeryn dosn't care. ^^
maybe it is because I started the Q in the "bugged" version and upgraded just before getting the last orb. Or this part of the Q isn't implemented yet. Dunno...

If you want to kill the master with an archmage, just wait in a hallway with a corner like this:
Then when the boss comes:
You get one turn to hit him. You can freeze him and do another attack, or just fire a manathrust. After that, phase door yourself away. I would not recommend trying to teleport the boss because it can be resisted and then you are in trouble.
If you are not away then the next turn would be:
Some bosses would have rushed you now, so its best to avoid giving them this turn. If they didn't rush you, then now is the time to teleport away. Ideally, never ever give the boss a chance at a turn by freezing them before you cast a manathrust.
Its not needed to have a corner in a hallway You can also hide in a room:
The only way you can die is when you 'R'est and the boss comes behind you because his path is blocked (I had a rattlesnake blocking the shortest route once, and the master showed up behind me and roasted me in one turn before I saw him.). Always look for sections of the map that only have one entrance. Normally it should be safe to 'R'est.
Another way to do it is use an aoe spell around a corner and then teleport away.
For added fun, cast inferno around a corner, let the monsters come closer, and close the trap with a targeted stone wall.

This would actually be a rather nasty problem for me if i had not through pure chance spotted the entrance to slime tunnels in that pride.
Otherwise after Mt.Doom there'd be no way to find out how to proceed, or am i overlooking something?

OK i killed Golbug then directly teleported to far east finished unmarked cave, discovered underwater cave, so what now? i walked island few times i cant find any other entrance, i cant go back to back, i cant find any 'clues' i dont have any quests. did i do something not in order or something wrong?
You are likely to be eaten by a grue

The town in the Sun Wall is just very hard to see. Look for the wall looking thing in the far east of the Far East. One of the squares is a town.
