What does a mold look like?
Just curious as to what everyone else thinks they might look like. I mean they don't move, and it would be boring to draw them as they are. Not much fun to encounter a blob on the ground.

Make a blob that looks menacing

[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

Re: What does a mold look like?
Maybe it has a circular 'mouth' lined with teeth?
Re: What does a mold look like?
The only thing I envisioned was something of a blob on the ground, with a multitude of eyestalks or something. Molds attack by releasing spores, so wouldn't need to have tentacles or eyes for that matter.

Re: What does a mold look like?
I picture a very irregularly shaped colored blob. However, it does also have to be able to release spores...
Re: What does a mold look like?
A colored patch on the ground maybe? Give it some fuzz like textures?
Real molds release spores and they don't have any stalks or tentacles.

Maybe there could be little hints in the graphic as to what its attack does to you? Little swirly tendrils on the mold for confusion, green bubbles/gas for poison, etc.
Re: What does a mold look like?
Maybe something like this, recolored/resized for the various colors in the game?
Re: What does a mold look like?
A mold is some kind of fungus, right?
So technically a single mold could be a whole section of wall or corridor covered in spots or hairy appendages, sometimes even creating something looking similar to spider webs across the corridor. Actually remembering the sometimes look of our organic waste basket when we came back from a vacation and had forgotten to empty it, enlarging and transferring that picture to a corridor...scary thought.

Re: What does a mold look like?
I was trying to think of a stylized way to draw a mold, without it just being a shaded colored patch of the ground. I guess there's just not much you can do with a mold.
