Escort quest bugs

#1 Post by marvalis »

While heightened senses where 5/5 he still offered to increase it +1.
Entering a dungeon, receiving an escort quest, then leaving to do some other dungeon without doing the quest (or anything else) makes the quest not function when you come back.

Since there are a lot of escort-threads out there, I'll just hijack this one as a "collect all escort bugs"-thread.

I just encountered a bug in Tol'Falas lvl1:
I entered Tol'Falas and instead of the chat popup just got the msg "Quest accepted". The lost rogue was standing next to me (and an undead pit - ouch). However I managed to kill the pit but the rogue refused to move ("push" still worked though). When I checked the questlog, the quest didn't show up and after clearing and magic mapping the whole lvl there was no portal generated (which could explain why he didn't move since there was no target).

Leaving and reentering the lvl didn't work aswell... What a pity, since this char was extremely unlucky anyway by just getting very, very few escorts (his predecessor had in old forest alone as many quests as the current one everywhere up to tolfalas).

Since the log with the lvl generation is quite long I attached everything...

Probably fixed both
[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

[tome] phantomfrettchen: your ability not to tease anyone is simply stunning ;)

I just encountered this with a lost warrior. It's not just that the quest doesn't show up in the quest log... it's that there's an invisible entry in the quest log which makes the quest window disappear when you select it. Currently I only have two quests - Of trolls and damp caves, and this one. I can only see the first in the quest log, but if I hit down or up, the whole quest window disappears (similar to with Channel Staff). Fixing the quests may have fixed that, though.
