(beta10) certain skills make the 'm' window visuallydisapear

I running beta 10 lunix on ubuntu. My wilder got the channel wand skill from an escort quest. When pressing 'm' and trying to keybind it, selecting that skill using the up and down arrows, the screen disappears when you select that skill. The problem does not occur with other skills. You can still press a hotkey to keybind the skill, even when you dont see the window anymore. You cannot move in the game itself. Pressing up or down to select another skill makes the 'm' screen visually re-apear and allows you to continue.

This also happened with an Alchemist who had the skill naturally.
