fighting to the death

I just fought my way back out of moria, and then I realized that the portal must be in that room with nasty orcs. So I'm about to go back down, but I just wanted to ask if this guy seems ready to go east? This is my first character to kill the Elven mummy or kill the master without being killed by the master's minions. Once I find a better ring, I'll take off that ring of see-invisible since the Choker of Dread makes it useless.

I would finish up all the quests that you can, as you will not be able to go back from the far east. The sandworm lair isnt that bad (I havent found it very challenging at least) at that level), and the reward is good. Also once you travel, I am not sure if there is a jewelry shop in the far east (havent been there in beta 9 yet), so it would be best to scum angolwen for better rings if you can (even that ring of burning isnt that useful for you). There will be a better ring showing up though in one of the prides too.

He should also be aware of how to fix the beta9 bug to access Angolwen in the first place. [See "Beta9 bugs" thread that I started]

sandworm liar can kill any level of character if you don't know how to navigate it safely.

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely go look up the fix for that angolwen bug, before it has always had the most useful shop for any character. I don't especially care to do the sandworm lair, I consider it a fairly easy level but it is so annoying and time-consuming (I've finished it twice before, with a beserker and a fighter).

EDIT: I'm now in the far east wandering around, wasn't given any quests. I found the unremarkable caves, went in and took out the orc, but not before the elf died. I see the an entrance to an underwater cave, is that my next destination?

did you go to the caves of morning (they are in the east side in the mountain range), that would be your next stop, I know in graphical mode it can be harder to determine the difference, but it has the look of a cave with a light in it.
