Buying bow skill

I paid 8 gold for a bow skill but i can't see it in my skill list. What do i have to do to make it appear?

AFAIK you buy only ability to SHOOT (it should appear in "m") for these 8 gp.
Anyone interested in Sangband could enjoy enhancements (200+new monsters, new items, etc., all tested, quite balanced) done by me: PM me, I'll gladly send the files.
