My level 10 archer has three noteworthy rings: a ring of constitution +2, a ring of accuracy (+6), and a ring of defense (+6). I'm currently wearing the constitution and accuracy rings, but I'm not sure about the relative usefulnesses of the rings to my character.
So which rings stay and which ring goes to the novice mage?

Re: Ring dilemma
I would consider dropping the Constitution +2
Accuracy will help your archery considerably and it would be entirely possible that no NPC would get close to you.
Those that do you will need the defense ring for.
The Constitution +2 only gives 10 HP and once you gain access to Angolwen, you will very likley have a much wider choice of rings...

Re: Ring dilemma
I gained access to Angolwen and bought a +6 constitution ring before I read your post. My dilemma has only grown bigger, especially with potentialities like finding a good dexterity ring...

Re: Ring dilemma
The other thought is to mount a campaign for the ability to wear more rings...
Let's face it:
There are ear rings (so that is 2, unless you have some weird mutation)
Nose rings (as many as you can fit on!!!) Call it 2 - one for each nostril!
Finger rings (8)
Thumb rings (2)
Toe rings (10)
Rings in many more unmentionable places... My feeling is that as ring bearers we should not be deprived of the ability to wear lots of rings!

Re: Ring dilemma
Zothiqband's source material would almost support that kind of thing, but it's not really that explicit. This reminds me that I should really implement the Charm Player spell some time. At the moment I don't have much in that direction beyond monsters with kiss attacks.darkgod wrote:Ok who's up to make a "pleasure-band" module ?madmonk wrote:Rings in many more unmentionable places... Re: Ring dilemma
But would be allowed to discuss such a module on this forum?
