Ok, cool game, really takes me back. I just can't figure out some stuff. Is there a list of what all the keys do? I found w i and I know the arrow keeys move you, but how do I pick stuff up and whatever? Or has the stuff not been coded in yet? Sorry if this seems to be a dumb question but I can't find the answers anywhere.

If you push escape during a game, there's an option to see the full list of keybindings.

Pickup is "g". But basically, the only keys you need to remember are "m" and "u". "m" will allow you to use your class abilities (like fighting, shooting, casting...) and "u" will allow you to use objects (quaff potions, read scrolls...)

And the hotkeys, they are much easier to use than going through 'm' each time you want to use a talent

Speaking of hotkeys, is there a way to remove them or plans to implement something like this?
My 18th level Fighter has 12 hotkeys assigned and I only use 6 or so of the abilities on the list, it's mostly an eyesore but I can imagine with a mage it could get really annoying not being able to remove hotkeys.

Mages have the opposite problem: there are only 12 hot keys visible on the screen, and they want a lot more than that.
The non-hot keys I use when playing the game are 'g' (get), 'i' (inventory -- 'e' does the same thing), 'd' (drop), 'u' (use), 'm' (mtalent [the m is silent]), and 'w' (wield/wear).
Also, random issue of not-very-important-ness: when the 11th (or was it 12th?) hot key is automatically assigned to RIGHTPAREN, it doesn't work when I press shift-0 (right parenthesis). But if I go through the 'm' menu and assign shift-0 to the talent, then it works. Still shows as RIGHTPAREN, but obviously it's bound to something different internally. EQUALS works from the outset. I figure it's a US keyboard vs. whatever-other-keyboard issue of some kind. (Linux version, built from source.) *shrug*

You can switch between hotkey sets, you know. I think it's the page up and page down buttons.

Ah thanks guys. After I died (5 times now) I always just returned to the main menu, now I see I can save my games (ctrl+s), adjust my stats and skills (shift+g) and most importantly rest (shift+r), now I'm surviving and made it up to level 3 almost 4 now. This game is so addictive. Good job!
