items on the floor are uneffected by spells/talents this means that you can drop items on the floor if you dont want them to be destroyed by a monster/talent being cast.
I propose that they are subject to the same (if not higher) chance of destruction (nothing protecting them).

It does cost you an action to drop them. Is it really worth it to drop them? Maybe phase scrolls as a non-mage?
Edit: This is one of those effects that I found kind of annoying in T2. Stupid dragons!
