Improvement: Mouse moving

#1 Post by Canderel »

I am on a laptop... so if I could move with the mouse, that'd be cool.

Thought of that actaully, but I am not sure there is a good way.
This is not realtime so either you make it move as fast as possible and you kinda "get lost" or you set a tiemr and it could feel too slow.
Idea ?

I was thinking, right click to move... and then you "run" (same speed animation as run) except that you run to a specific location (instead of direction) and the running will only stop on threats (not on terrain change) but obviously on traps etc.

Also make it like warcraft like games, shift-right-click to specify specific "waypoints" so that it runs on a specific route - run starts as soon as shift is released. Stop rules will still apply.

Dunno about the waypoints but yes using run technology could work. Well the algorithm needs adapting because it does only use directions for now

I don't know how much of the old macro codes are still in there, but create a "temporary" macro to mouse-run to specified areas on the map.

Both my improvement threads should probably move to Ideas.

I like how it's implemented! Thanks, I play with the keyboard mostly, but running long distances (whole map, though it usually spots a trap or a hostile before going the whole map) in the game works great with the mouse!
