Nice char indeed, you took a shield fighter to it's essence :)

hehehe, thnks.

now I am a lvl 12 mage, finished with the trollshaws... well I did leave one honey tree in there (I found 2, accidently killed the better located one) ;) (lol, I couldnt help scumming them)

I am going to skip the lair and maze for obvious reasons.

I noticed that the flaming shields are incorrect, you left it as fire resistance rather than return damage.

True :)
Thanks

Died to get to level 12?

BTW I'm implementing a new series of Wild Gifts: Summoning !
There will be 12 talents (for now), each allows to summon a different monster. Summons exist only for a short while (a few turns) but can be targetted, that is you can make them pop where you need them and if you target a monster when summoning they'll target it when they pop.

:)

I'm away again next week BTW (but no skiing!). It'd be great if you could have some undeads for me when I get back.
If no serious bug crops out of the next RFT I'll release before leaving we could make a first release ? What do you think about it ?

well, I did it with my mage... lvl 17, died once (vs a skeletal warrior with a slimy greatsword (dang slow) on the very last level (9) of tol falas, grrr, me teleporting away was not an option, he hit me once and I was out of it  and I would have ended up either in a room with several ghouls or in the room with the master.)... the master was a pushover, only cast manathrust once on me, other times just tried walking around a ghoul next to him

I skipped a bunch of levels though in tol falas, went straight down only walking to the exit if I could see it (if not just walk around casting vision.

here is the savefile if you want it: http://www.mediafire.com/?y1h0qykqgcu

I would say go for it, if you want to, there still are spelling issues in it (like in quit.lua) and in various talent descriptions.
I cant guarantee anything sadly, life has jumped up on me. maybe if madmonk wants to try his hand at monster creation, he is more than welcome to.

Hum yes we really need archer to stop you :)
The master was a pushover, hum how could he have been made harder?
Maybe he needs a special AI that would favor his melee side if you are a mage (rushing to you directly) or his mage side if you are a melee class ?

Can one of you go through all texts and report me the last typos ?

As for monsters I'm very well palced to understand dont worry ;)
Can you just post what you've got already ?

I'll release RFT13 probably tomorrow.
You'll want to be a tad more careful in Tol Falas with the addition of skeleton master archer (and skeleton archer to the late levels of amon sul) and armoured skeleton warrior.
Hihihi ...

Ok, I will go through the screen texts once more.

Seeing what has been happening on the monster code generation front, I must respectfully decline. As I have stated elsewhere I am not a programmer!

I agree the master was a pushover for my mage, 2 shots from a distance and he died...

I found Ghoulkings nastier, tougher, and dealt more damage... I would suggest making a super-ghoulking!

Well, I run Win 7 Home Premium 64bit, they work pretty well. I haven't seen my earlier problems I had for quite a while.

Ok :)

I'll provide in a few minutes RFT13 which includes LuaJIT (among many otehr things) which should increase speed by quite a bit :)
