lvl 14 now
(scumming a honey tree, lol, infinite exp)
right now:
riposte, shield expertise, and precise strikes are maxed. weapon combat is at 8 now and sword mastery is at 3. (so in 4 levels weapon combat will be maxed and sword mastery will be at 9)
and more related to testing and not bragging:
used a test character... you can still work around certain equipment requirements for sustained skills.

right now:

Right clicking makes you go anywhere, including across walls!

game crashed on me eventually after it complained too many times about not enough memory to draw tiles and I hit the 'G' key was able to load the previous save though fine, now I am saving more.
*at lvl 17 now
going to try to get as far as I can with this... I have over 100 attack and damage right now with my sword... tempted to scum for an ego mithril one soon (need a few more points in str first, 4 more I think (3 levels), unless this unid'ed ring in my inv is one of str.)

im at lvl 18 now, got bored with scumming so am off to the lair... I did stop at town and noticed the blood of life in the store though... too bad I couldnt afford it (I only need 930 more gold
)
will you make it like t2 where true arts cannot be generated in stores?
also I noticed that both angmars fall and bills tree trunk are 5 gold each, will they be increased in value?
this char of mine is really lucky... found ulmo's ring, and the phial of galadriel (as well as the guaranteed artifacts) as well as that blood of life which I cant afford (hehehe, is there a way for me to generate me some gold... if I was an archer I would waste several days making tons and tons of ammo in town, but I dont have that option here)

which brings up an important point... I dont think archers should be allowed to make ammunition in town, it is too cheesy. maybe make a message about a town guard requesting that you stop (activate it anyway, but give 1 ammo max)... or just say you really dont feel comfortable foraging for suitable materials while the townspeople are watching you.

in regard to if you get a talent as a gift (eat the heart, drink the potion):
I think you should automatically know it, not have to invest a talent category point into it... but meh, I have talent category points to spare with my char

Foraged ammo should sell for 0, does it not ?
The wild gifts available are not to be confused with gifts to the player. There could as well be (and will be) other kind of talents made available this way.
They exist as a way to make your character take a new way and I think it works quite well this way.
In RFT13 there will be a trainer in minas tirith that can teach how to shoot a bow for 5gold and gain the combat-training talent type already learned (but not the talents themselves), but for 50gold.
I dont plan on forbidding artifacts from stores, it is nice and it provides a chance to use money.

bah... went down to the lair 7 and got the same bug with the maze, but now I cant move...
even if I do those steps...
[edit] hmm... now it works ??? went to bree and tried walking... minas tirith couldnt walk.... strange though.... now it should be fine for a while
