right now I feel not really... since they wont move to target you unless you are in view of them, you can just sneak up a square, target, if nothing, keep going, otherwise shoot...

what would be a good anti-mage would be summoning... on the target rather than in the vicinity of the caster.

Yes monsters will never detect you unless they see you.
I could change it but I feel it's suspect, why would they detect you from the other side of a wall and 3 doors ?
Or maybe I just must let go of "realism" on this case if it improves the game.

But yes more archers/mages will be good too.

Wild Gifts are just an other kind of talents, more connected to the wilds, nature (or contering it). Currently most are unimplemented but when they will be there will be classes specializing in them.

(Oh BTW try the new 'm' menu of RTF11 you should like it more than the old one)
