They are in Quick key order, you can see in my picture that King's Gift and Manathrust are in Cooldown (bottom right). If you look at the order of those keys, when you use the 'm' key that list matches the Quick keys.

I don't have your lantern problem, tried a Dunadan Fighter and Berserker and got a lantern both times.

[Update]Just tried a Bree-man fighter and Berserker. The Berserker does not get any equipment apart from a greatsword. So found a missing lantern!

Would like a digger though...

Now to find a scroll of phase door or teleport!

[Update]Another running problem, when running you tend to stop for just about everything. The one thing you don't stop for is traps!

I'm still thinking the digger thing. But I have fixed the level generation! It should never make an unconnected level anymore!

For the latern problem I have no idea, but yes some race/class combo do not get their equipment becaus etheir stats are not good enough to wield them. Kindof silly I know I must find a good solution. Before I do, please try with "good combo", like dwarf warrior, elf mage, hobbit rogue. Should work for them.

You do stop for traps but only if you detect it.

I am not sure I get when you both mean about the talents, screen or quick keys ?

I'll fix the misspellings, thanks :)

As for a disarm spell .. I am not sure, there is a cunning talent to do it already and I plan on letting everybody get it, so not much of a point

not sure tried both dunadan and dwarven... neither had it. I might also specify that I chose fighter, not berserker.
Could you please try again and send me the log you get?
It should say something about lantern

via the 'm' menu. they are not arranged alphabetically.

and I forget if it was mentioned in this rft, but beign should become being in the stops being poisoned message (see above screeny)

Code: Select all

xx.xx
xx.xx
xx.xx
x..xx
x.x..
x.x..
x@x..
does not yield stoppage at the diagonal.

Ah yes it probably should :)

Fixed the misspelling.

The powers in 'm' are arranged by talent type and then talent order. I should make it clearer by putting the talent types.

I see nothing about a lantern in the logs... but here is a dunadan/fighter.

Code: Select all

[BIRTH] Applying descriptor base
[BIRTH] Applying descriptor Human
[BIRTH] Applying descriptor Dunadan
[BIRTH] Applying descriptor Male
[BIRTH] Applying descriptor Warrior
[BIRTH] Applying descriptor Fighter
technique/combat-training
technique/2hweapon-offense
technique/shield-defense
technique/weapon-training
technique/shield-offense
technique/2hweapon-cripple
size 25:18 :: 450
Loading wilderness map: wilderness/main
Static generator using file	/data/maps/wilderness/main.lua
is that what you want?

thats what I thought... however, they are alphabetized sooner rather then later, so their letters get messed up :P

A potential problem is that the weaker (health) characters may get killed without a sure fire way of disarming a trap.

So for instance as a Mage with low health I would be very wary of disarming a trap manually, but as a Tank with lots of health I might just do it!

One option for Mages is to have a spell that disarms all traps in a certain radius!

Or perhaps trigger all traps in a certain radius. This would eliminate most traps, and the trap multiplier trap would become an interesting problem for them!

Then a rogue first objective would be to get thsi spell and be done with traps forever :)
Na that's far too easy.

Mages that wish it can have controlled(somewhat) teleport, they can use that to get past traps.

Also I think I'll give everybody a chance to evade traps.

My main point is that I do not want mages spells to trump everything else, because then, there is no point in having anything else (and that comes from the guy who rarely plays anything but mages ;> )

sense can actually detect traps at lvl 4 not at lvl 5 like it says... (ok... some traps, not all traps... works on vines at least and sometimes sliding rocks)

I will put up a link to a "fixed" potion for your other potion... and a violet colored potion as well.

and could you make the description of identify so that the at lvl 4 shows that it is a radius of lvl 4 and not something variable? (ie make it a min of 1 by using the max function)
