It sounds like work on the ToME 3 Module has been pushed back to allow for completion of the T-3 engine. This sounds like it was a good idea.
Nature abhors a vacuum though, and frankly, I got a little sad seeing 0 Messages in this subforum. There were quite a few things on the old forum before the hackers came.
I don't see why non-coding cheerleaders like me shouldn't be discussing ideas now. In fact, it might even help it if some goals for the module emerged in advance (right?).
What I don't know is how this info would be most usefully organized for the devs when it does come time to work on the module. I'm hesitant to start this ball rolling without feedback from the project leader.

Re: Organization for Tome 3 Ideas
Well, without talking to elcugo, I'd say start formulating ideas. That's what ToME has always been about, implementing new ideas from what the users would like to see. I'd still say to wait on elcugo's nod.
Also, the forums are here for a reason. Start creating some topics about stuff that bugs you. Or maybe post some ideas. Or perhaps start a DitL.

Re: Organization for Tome 3 Ideas
Please feel free to put any and all idea about the module here. Do be aware of course that ideas are just that, and that some may not be implemented...

Yeah! Go crazy, post all your ideas here!
Btw, it could be useful to have some kins of voting system for ToME ideas, like the guys at the KDE forums did.

All we would have to do is put each suggestion in a new thread and add a poll to each one.elcugo wrote:Yeah! Go crazy, post all your ideas here!

I'd say go for it. All members have access to creating polls.

Re: Organization for Tome 3 Ideas
Here's an idea - slugs, giants of their kind though they may indeed be, shouldn't breath acid at c. 500 HP a chuck.
While folk are trying out each latest version of the ToME module, maybe discourage instadeaths in general, so that some feedback comes that way about things with the T3 doodah itself ? ... there isn't the range of kit available to deal with some things which might otherwise be balancedish - e.g. the steel golem, speed is hard to come by yet it hastes itself from a wicked starting speed and can sweep your 600-700 HP barbarian tank away in one round in any case - a side-effect is that any summoning 'g' marks the end of a level, and of a character if you don't spot it in time to drift into the forest and recall out.
Another idea - Music On/Off
