Not yet... even WITH savescumming...
Although my FIRST none-scummed character, is doing VERY well for himself (YAY YGG!!!!)
Until yesterday, i was actually beginning to entertain delusions of winning, but then another character saw what angband is really like...
Oh well... ill keep plugging away until i win!

Truly won ToME once, like a year ago with a sorc. Some other times with (ahem) savescumming just to get near the end (defense for savescumming: its not for the scoreboard or posting {definitely never posted a savescummed}, its cause I only back up the char very occasionally, so dying is still a big *hit* and loses hours of gameplay. My savescummers are still experiments at strategy.) but usually I get bored of savescummers before the end and abort them. I actually won more times in vanilla, years and years ago.

I HAVE won LARN, several times, and Adventure, but that doesn't really count
For me, it's not about the winning (well, obviously) but just about the enjoyment. About 10 seconds after I'm crushed by the latest character's demise, I'm already getting psyched up thinking about what kind to roll next!

I voted 6-9 times, but that's an estimate. I haven't kept exact count, but I'm reasonably sure I'm around 10+. Just beat T-Plus a couple days ago. Melkor, I've only beaten twice (though I'm about to try with this character...I have high hopes for...her, I believe is the current gender.) Generally, I've won with a mage class...three or four sorcerers, a couple normal mages adapted for melee combat, and at least two possessors. I did win with a loremaster once, but he was mainly a summoner with an emphasis on hack-n-slash.

One of my best characters before was a deathmold lostsoul sorcerer on 2.2
On 2.3 it aint as easy and my patience is over, so I'm trying the normal deathmold sorcerer. The problem is RNG hates my guts... From the 33 quests I did only 3 of them were FF ones and the best skill I could get was stealth. So I just deleted that character. Gonna try again tomorrow, maybe I will get the skill I need (read mimicry)
