Yes, if you can track a specific UserPreferences problem, stick it on the wiki so I can forward it to the MoinMoin people once their wiki is back up.

I'm going to be digging through the MoinMoin sources soon enough anyway.

Stickied the topic. Figured that it deserved it, seeing the attention it's been getting...
And it was such a good idea...

If it's getting attention, you don't need to make it sticky.

If it's no longer getting attention, it no longer needs to be sticky.

Look, if you want to write documentation for the game, please do. Send it to me, I'll format it and stick it in the game if it's worthy. I (and the rest of the team) have always been happy to accept offers of this kind of thing.
By all means use the wiki, but as far as I'm concerned it makes documentation of the game no easier than before.
It might make spoilers a little more accessible I suppose, but there are plenty of those in-game and available on the web via oook and killerbunnies and the spoiler forum here.

Don't take offence Candarel, just ranting after a hard day at work.

No offence taken. It's just that I find that (can't recall if it's tome or other *bands) which update their sources and changelogs, and the documentation doesn't reflect it. (And if a help file says written for PernBand 5.x.x or something indicates to me it's *really* old).

Even if you change nothing, you could add, 'revised for ToME 2.2.7' or whatever.

The documentation in the 2.2 series got LOTS of updates, with lots of mentions in changes.txt.

we still seem to be acquiring new members on this forum. i created a user account and there would seem to be no problems, not even with the textbox. i use netscape for the forum and the wiki. weird that it may not be cross browser compatible?

The HTML generated by the wiki is valid HTML 4.01 Strict. Thus, any compatibility problems likely the fault of the client.

Unfurtunately, when microsoft acts in nonstandard ways, they become the standard.

Also, I thought things like textboxes weren't pure HTML. They're javascript or something, aren't they?

I have to agree with atarlost here, even though MS and IE sucks, we have to support them right, for most of our players use them.

Users of broken software should contact their software vendor to get them fixed, instead of expecting me to fix it for them. This is especially true of software whose owner keeps the sources secret and prohibits third parties from making and distributing fixes.

I can't fix your broken software, people. I can only fix things broken on *my* end. I *did* my part by choosing a default style on the wiki that validates.

Once again, no other place I've gone has textboxes that go berserk in IE. The wikki is doing something nothing else does, and it's unsupported by the most widely used browser in the world.
