I believe that the Air school needs a little beefing up. Thus, Invisibility and Wings of Wind should be gotten rid of; and 2 new spells should be added:
Fist of Thunder (Air@25)
Fires a BIG ball of sound, doing a good deal of damage.
At level 15, it will move monsters, doing crushing damage when applicable.
(Note: If cast in the Void, it will have no effect other than generating the message, "There is no air in this place!" In addition, damage is cut in half when char is under water - water can transmit sound, but this magic tends to work best in a gaseous environment.)
Skyfire (Air, Fire@15)
Smites a foe with burning meteors, causing stunning and significant damage.
At level 10, it can target 2 monsters.
At level 15, opponents adjacent to the targeted space take 1/2 damage.
At level 20, it can target 3 monsters.
The damage increases with level.
(Note: This is not a spell to be sneezed at. However, it should not work under water, and damage type should be different in the Void to reflect lack of atmosphere (and thus lack of fire-type damage).)

I have pushed for renovation of the Air school in the past, claiming that it granted a lot of powers that everyone just gained from their equipment anyway.
I think that Air needs some sort of direct damage or other unconditionally beneficial spell to be worth putting skill points into. Tach's spell seems like a good idea, but any spell that increases speed / hitroll / other battle abilities would also be welcome. Currently, in my opinion, Air is the worst school besides Mind, which I wouldn't use if Fumblefingers offered me level 50 in the skill.

I think it is quite flexible. Due to a limitation of project not you, but the monsters will get the experience, though. We will have to wait for an impoved project, I guess. But chain lightning is the most obvious spell missing from the air school in my opinion.
