Hello;
So I own ToME on Steam (Twice actually, I bought it on my husband's account as well.) I have now limited room on this PC and do not want to use Steam/GoG Galaxy.
My Steam account and ToME are linked, I noticed that I have my full paid stuff (expansions and such) even when I play without steam.
However, I had not, for example, unlocked the Red Hair, on this Steam account. Will I be able to unlock it with playing just the simple ToME installer version (no Steam or GoG Galaxy) despite it probably being linked to an achievement ?
Will I lose anything else compared to Steam version, if I play without Steam or GoG Galaxy ?
Question about playing on Steam VS playing without third-party software

Re: Question about playing on Steam VS playing without third-party software
The ONLY things you lose when playing on standalone client compared to Steam client are:
1. STEAM achievements. te4.org profile still tracks your achievements (note: you can still manually push the achievements to Steam even if you got em on a standalone client but it doesn't happen automatically)
2. Ability to use Steam Wallet for purchases
3. Ability to log in using Steam account
That's it. You won't lose anything that's "relevant" to the game itself, nor the ability to unlock anything.
