Staff of Bones on my summoned skeleton

Playing Necromancer and my summoned skeleton mage seems to have come equipped with the Staff of Bones. Is there any way to actually get it from him, or will i just have to watch it get destroyed by the next Unique?

Might be cool to have an option to equip a team, though it'd be a real hassle as well.

Only the "permanent" minions have equipment you can change (or take) - golem, worm-that-teleports, and mecharachnid.
