[1.7.2] Some more bugs

#1 Post by Powerfinder »

I unlocked the transmogrification chest on normal difficulty. The first character on Nightmare difficulty received a second chest after killing Bill.

Wyrmic under effect "burrow" can be knockbacked through a wall, but not any type. Snaproot could not throw him through the trees in the old forest. Similar issue here
http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=51684

I did not visit Maze at the lower levels. I came there after the Far East. After entering the second level, I immediately received a "crystal heart" and a "lunar shield", but Nimisil was nowhere to be found. It was a horror maze variant, if that's a factor

Tried to bruteforce occult egress. One particular sequence hangs the game. I can provide a save if needed.

While "light of revelation" was equipped, I tried to use "dominant will" on the enemy. Instead of becoming a thrall, on the same turn the opponent turned into hostile horror, but at the same time it was displayed as a thrall in the party bar. The game did not remove this "shapeshifter" from the party after his death. It happened twice and now I have two dead permanent horror thralls.

Maybe I misunderstood something, but the dragonfire trap from Daikara does not appear in the list of designs if the rogue has received the appropriate lore from Library of Lost Mysteries. But my rogue had no points spent in this talent tree. Perhaps this is the case?

"Thread the needle" always uses currently equipped weapons and does not offer a choice. This may not be a bug, but in the heat of battle it's easy to forget about it and waste a turn on an attack that would be useless if you try to attack a distant enemy while melee weapons are equipped.

It seems that "retch", contrary to the description, can remove not only physical sustains, but also magical ones (such as "weapon folding", "contingency", "chant of fortitude" and others).

"Premonition", contrary to the description, also works against the physical type of damage. Or is "physical attack" meant to be non-spell and non-mindpower?

As I suspected, I misunderstood the description of "premonition". It does not activate against regular physical attacks. But I definitely saw the status effect "premonition" working against physical damage type. Perhaps some kind of physical damage spell caused it.

I also failed to reproduce a situation in which "retch" removes magical effects. Perhaps the reason for this was something else that escaped my attention. Possibly an anomaly since I played as temporal warden.

Hi!

The Wyrmic / Writhing One (and even Defilers with Warithform) can be knocked back into walls is not a bug.

Burrow effect makes "wall" tiles not blocking your movement anymore.
Same for Overgrowth & same for Wraithform.
(Thats why you can walk through walls)

If someone "Knocks you back" --> then you will be moved.
So knockback causes a forced movement, and if you have these effects then "wall" tiles are
valid tiles for you (otherwise you could not walk through wall with them...).

Snaproot cannot knock you back through "tree" tiles, because you cannot walk through tree tiles with these effects on.
These effects just grants you "wall-walking" but not "tree-walking".

Perhaps this is not a bug from a technical point of view. But it creates a discrepancy between expected and observed and thus can potentially harm the immersion, at least temporarily. Except in the case of wraithformed defiler. Wraiths are known for passing through walls, among other things.
