Class unlock impossible without achievement reset

I recently returned to playing the game, and I had previously performed an unlocks reset but I didn't reset anything else. Through two characters realized that I wasn't able to unlock the Solipsist class tied to the Dreaming my Dreams achievement. I completed both dreams in Dogroth Caldera on both characters, with no unlock. Looking into it, I realized that this is because I already had the achievement from back in 2015, and thus apparently couldn't earn it again.

Apparently, the class unlock is only triggered when the achievement is first earned, because no matter how many dreams I did prior to an achievement reset it wouldn't give it to me. I just reset my achievements a short while ago however, and the first dream I completed after logging back in gave me the achievement and the class unlock.

Class unlocks should not be tied to achievements themselves, but rather the conditions required to get them. This way someone doesn't have to wipe out ALL of their achievements after an unlock reset in order to unlock certain things. I'm not sure if this applies to all achievement based unlocks (that should probably be looked into), as I've continually earned achievements I've already earned previously in various playthroughs, but it definitely applies to Solipsist at least.
