[Beta 1.6] Auto Activating item out of combat infinite rest

#1 Post by Elkan »

If you assign using an object a keybind through the use ability Menu you can assign it auto use functionality like any other talent however when assigned to auto use "when available" or "out of combat" it will rest forever, using the item, and then waiting for it to recharge, rather than behaving like other talents which will use it, then disregard its cooldown or state for rest purposes.

I noticed this with summertide phial but will confirm this behaviour with other out of combat arts when I have the opportunity

Hum yeah but not sure what else it should do actually?
[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

same issue in 1.5.10
what I suggest is not to wait for its energy recharge when resting if such an artifact is set to auto-use; not to wait for charm cd and to prohibit a second charm from being set to auto-use when a charm is set to auto-use.

I would have it work with the same logic as talents, for example, if you have "track" set to auto-use it will not wait for its cooldown when auto-exploring or resting. My suggestion would be to have a clause in the rest/ auto-explore checks to ignore the energy/cooldown state of any charms or items that are set to auto use.
