MacOS and GOG: Addons Folder Location

#1 Post by Tuche »

Hello,

I have bough TOME a few days ago in GOG and been liking it very much. I am now looking forward to install some add-ons to enhance my TOME experience.

Can some one help me out on locating the TOME add-ons folder (MacOS/GOG version)

Thank you

For the Steam version, it would be:

~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/TalesMajEyal/game/addons/

Presumably the GOG version won't put things in /Steam/  but the path should be vaguely similar beyond that.
Check out my addons: Nullpack (classes), Null Tweaks (items & talents), and New Gems fork.

This should work if you can launch ToME on its own. Go to your T-Engine application, right-click, and select "show package contents". Then go down through the folders Contents->Resources->game->addons

It is most definitely in the package contents, and it's the same for the onsite version. Remember to always go in there and copy your addons folder after every update!

Even though the folders look different, just stick the addons in game/addons and do not trust those DLC folders. The GOG version is weird on OSX, and bugs specific to GOG OSX have cropped up before. Not to mention GOG OSX has also missed updates... If I were you I would actually grab my serial codes, redeem them on the TE4 website, and download from here. I've never had a problem ever since I switched, and it's a bit more no-nonsense.
